Emus engaging in typical emu behavior

**What Happened:** One sunny afternoon, a couple of emus decided to take a field trip to a local park. They strutted around like they owned the place, causing a delightful ruckus. As they chased after unsuspecting picnickers and darted between kids with ice cream cones, one particularly bold emu discovered a frisbee. It decided that frisbee-flying was its new sport, and with all the grace of a duck on roller skates, it took off running, flapping its wings wildly, while the other emus dashed behind, squawking in what seemed like a hilarious mix of cheerleading and confusion.

**Why It’s Funny:** Watching emus attempt to play frisbee looked like a scene from a slapstick comedy. Their long necks bobbed awkwardly with each awkward leap, and every time they actually got close to the frisbee, they’d get distracted by a passing butterfly and veer off course, causing their flock to tumble into a pile of feathers and legs. The sheer determination of these large, flightless birds trying to engage in a sport they clearly didn’t understand had the onlookers in stitches. Who knew emus could turn an average day at the park into a comedy show worthy of a standing ovation?

It’s like they forget what they are doing between steps only to be surprised they are running.

Emu: WHO’S RUNNING MY LEGS?!

Evolutionary defense mechanism – you can’t catch a thing that doesn’t itself know which direction it’s running at any given time.

Also Emu: Who said that!?

Just a reminder that if dinosaurs were alive today, this is what they’d look and move like. x.x

I’m not an evolutionary biologist, but is it possibly they could ‘reverse’ evolve?

The way it fell over when trying to kick the ball gave me flashbacks to my most embarrassing pee-wee soccer moments.

The Emus I’ve been around were some of the dumbest animals on the planet, but they were very friendly and docile. I loved feeding them out of my hand.

Couldn’t even force an extermination event on a flightless bird. Shame on you Major Meredith.

Really makes you think of Jurassic Park differently. I’m having a hard time deciding if it would be less or more scary.

IDK, they won the [Great Emu War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emu_War) against the Australian Army so they must be doing something right.

Could be! I watched without sound then with expecting to hear a yelp, it does look like it has no idea what just happened!
