Mom’s skincare regimen: $0. The car’s maintenance routine: $500.

The other day, I stumbled upon my mom mixing her homemade moisturizer with a dash of coconut oil and a sprinkle of love. I couldn’t help but chuckle as she proclaimed that her entire skincare routine cost exactly zero dollars. Meanwhile, just a few feet away in the garage, I was facing a different reality—my car was getting pampered with a luxurious deep clean that involved $500 worth of waxes and polishes that promised to make it as shiny as a diamond and smoother than a baby’s bottom.
It struck me as completely backwards that my mom’s beauty regimen, requiring nothing more than her kitchen ingredients and a positive attitude, held the key to her timeless glow, while my car’s “skincare” was more expensive than some people’s vacations! Who needs all those pricey products when good old-fashioned love (and maybe a little bit of coconut oil) is all you really need? Meanwhile, my car clearly has some serious self-esteem issues—I guess it just couldn’t handle being caught in the driveway without a $300 ceramic coating!

And I can’t imagine he has the dexterity to separate those.

am I crazy or is the piece he’s holding literally not connected to *any* of the face masks, or even a crumpled up one in his hands?

What are you saying, that parents faked this image for internet points? Blasphemy.

that or AI, or two images spliced together, or…

None of the bubbles on the masks are the same… I’m leaning towards real but staged.

I’m going to say not, it’s not. AI wouldn’t put a pipe in the background that’s yellow. It’s too eye catching as a subject and AI focuses on the subject unless you give it a reason to add interesting background objects. The reflections in the car are really good too as are the gifts of grass instead of slightly balding. A person would not prompt for balding patches of grass in bricks as that is too much focus by them on inconsequential details. If this was someone’s attempt at AI, I would say they are so professional at making really mundane backgrounds that they should work for a film studio that focuses on gritty and cruddy film sets because they could make huge money. Definitely not making money with this image of a kid

No, they’re pressed together tightly. You can see the line between them, it’s normal.

What about the reflection on the car? The design doesn’t seem like the ground while the front of the car does

They make their fingers melt into each other? Look at the image in question before going the “Reddit devils advocate” thing that is almost always way off.

R

What’s almost always way off is people on reddit screaming every image/post is AI. It’s just crying wolf and it makes us all collectively dumber.

This image has a child with three fingers on one hand and the usual AI ringed fingers on the other. Again, look at the image before you post. It’s not hard.

At least the car won’t have any fine lines or wrinkles after this.

AI or not, if you can afford to spend $500 on a skin care routine you don’t really have a right to complain

So is that clearcoat, I’m betting that those have some serious acidic creams in them.
