I was just thinking that. I wondered whether Harlequin was specific to that model of car or whether the word could mean multi-colored in general so I looked it up. Apparently, Harlequin can mean simply “in varied colors; variegated”. I had always only heard it used to refer to the colorful jester – but somewhere on the tip of my mind I think I have heard it used to refer to other multicolored things in general as well. Fun word.

My coworker had his ford ranger stolen a few years ago He called it in and filed a report like anyone would of course. Two weeks later he got a phone call from the police the truck was left on the side of the road apparently the thief’s stole it and just drove it until the tank was empty and bailed The guy at the impound lot greeted him and said “we’ve got your truck in the back, and idk if you want it back or not, it’s in pretty bad shape” It was in exactly the same shape it was when it was stolen lmao
