My friends burst into laughter as I compared one particularly impressive routine to watching a cat attempt to leap onto a chandelier—graceful, yet risky. I threw in dramatic commentary about her anticipated landing, only to spill popcorn everywhere when she nailed it. With scattered snacks and my overdramatic critiques filling the room, I realized I might have missed my true calling: not as a sports commentator, but as the cafeteria manager for the next Olympic event!

The one I wish I never saw was the luge guy practicing the Olympic track that lost control and flew into the concrete pillar at obscene speed. That haunted me for a bit.
