This, plus a toxic masculinity issue where men need to prove how tough and brave they are. Perhaps that toxic masculinity stems in part from life being so cheap, so men feel the need to really stand out, I dunno. But this isn’t that different from all the stupid shit you see a lot of Russians doing either, and again, you see the same traits of life being cheap and toxic masculinity running rampant there too. Plenty of other places too. I could be way off on my linking of the two, but I offer it obviously only as a (admittedly likely naive/ignorant) suggestion.
