“Capturing Reactions of Passengers Ignoring Kids on a Plane”

It’s frustrating to see how some people can be so dismissive of kids in public spaces. I get that flyin

g can be stressful for everyone, but ignoring children like they’re not even there just strikes me as rude. It’s one thing to quietly enjoy your own space, but actively trying to block out a kid’s presence? That seems a bit extreme.

You have to wonder where the line is. Kids are going to make noise and be a little fidgety. That’s just part of being a kid. But it feels like some adults forget that they were once kids too. This need to record others trying to ignore them speaks to a bigger issue—this idea that kids are somehow an inconvenience. It’s like they aren’t allowed to exist in certain spaces. It’s disappointing to see that kind of behavior.

I won’t pretend that kids don’t need some boundaries. There’s a time and place for everything. But there’s also a way to handle it without acting like they don’t matter. Flying is tough enough without adding that layer of exclusion to the mix. There’s a real lack of empathy in those moments. It makes you think about how people treat each other, especially in shared environments. It leaves me feeling a bit weary.

What do you think?
