Who is responsible for teaching these skills?

Who is instructing these abilities?

You only see the ones that survive. So, I guess my answer is natural selection.

But there will be flowers and a cross where he crashed and no mention of the danger he created for others.

A guy I went to HS with blew a red light at 80 and got hit. Immediate death. His body flew so high it collided with the stoplight itself and stuck there until the fire department had to get him down. You wanna know what his stupid ass friends did? Had a “celebratory ride” doing all the same exact stupid shit that got their friend killed. It’s like a sickness.

A guy a year below me in school killed himself and practically half of a random family speeding, head-on collision at double the limit. I didn’t really know him, but my friends did. They were all broken up about it, talking about how he’d had such a troubled life and he was depressed. Couldn’t fucking stand it. Said that in spite of all that he was a murderer and his death wasn’t something I’d feel sad about. They didn’t like that. The kid killed three people – a man, his wife, and a grandfather. Left a young child an orphan. Fuck him.

It’s unbelievable. It’s a plague in my town. There was another kid when we were actually in school who ran from the cops doing about 100, he ended up striking a cop car and died on impact. The sheriff’s deputy he hit was the husband of our principal, and she had to take time off from work because his friends were sending her and her husband death threats. Idk if you have to be a special kind of stupid to ride like this but it genuinely seems like they all lack critical thinking skills.

Something about small towns man. Every one of them I’ve lived in defended horrible fucking people. I don’t get it. Is it like tribalism or something else? There was a woman here who went around town on her atv trying to shoot random people last month. One of the women posted about having a gun aimed at her by this person and saying her guns should be taken away and everyone dogpiled on her until she deleted her post. Another town I lived in defended a fucking pedo the same way. And every town has horrible and neglectful pet owners everyone defends as well

Small towns can be absolutely great and / or terrible for the same reason. Exactly as you said, the tribalism. Theres a community aspect that you dont see in bigger cities. Those people usually rely on eachother. Power goes out during a winter storm? Go over a neighbor’s house. Need some wood to stay warm? Go to a neighbors house and get it. Car breaks down? Get a ride or borrow the neighbors. Another reason is a lot of the people in the community can be family in one way or another. If not direct family, theyre friends that go back decades. Everyone knows eachother. When a small town is made up of good people it can be really beautiful actually. Likewise, if theyre shit, theyre probly the worst people youll ever meet. Everything is reinforced tenfold, whether its the good or the bad.

Small town have this clique that if they know someone, it’s ‘oh he’s a good guy, I know him’. They disregard what they dont like or agree with and just defend the person. Ignoring facts is the standard. As long as they are white, that is.

A guy at my high school was recognized as “brave” or whatever because he was disabled in a wreck… a wreck HE CAUSED. They didn’t mention that in the speech. One of his passengers was critically injured and I think later died and the kid in the back seat died at the scene. The other driver was ok but felt horrible even though it wasn’t his fault at all

This reminds me of *The Bean Trees* opening, but backwards. >I have been afraid of putting air in a tire ever since I saw a tractor tire blow up and throw Newt Hardbine’s father over the top of the Standard Oil sign. I’m not lying. He got stuck up there. He wasn’t killed, but lost his hearing and in many other ways was not the same afterwards.

The lack of any protection and flip flops adds that special “I won’t suffer any of the chronic diseases of old age” flavor.

There was a lot of bad too. Let’s not forget the subreddits where people were jerking off to underage girls.

I mean there are still horrible subreddits about women that reddit won’t do anything to remove.

The worst part about some of these subs is that it makes look at the dark side of humanity. These people are humans just like us and even though we think it’s just 1 or 2 cases, there are actually hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions of humans with this dark side. We are capable of amazing beauty, but it also goes all the way to the opposite direction. Perfectly normal individuals have committed atrocities in the name of their countries/religions.

You forgot his safety flip flops.

When I did a motorcycle safety course they warned us to always wear covered shoes, with the example of someone wearing jandals/flip flops who had the centre part that goes between the toes go all the way up to their ankle, through the flesh, in a crash.
