Its probably dried up Mackerel blood as this is filmed at Ulvøybrua in Oslo, Norway where the fishermen fish that type of fish almost exclusively.

It’s obviously rust/corrosion as seen by it all over the railing on the other side of the road behind them.

I dont think so. I walked across this bridge pretty much every day for 15 years and still do, it does not really rust in spots like that and its painted every few years. 100% its some blood/guts from fish.

Talking to Norwegians, they don’t seem very fond of Oslo. Maybe it’s just the few I spoke with. I’m not even sure why. I guess the rest of Norway is more laid back, no other big cities, lots of rural land, slow life and no tourists. But, that’s just an educated guess.

Oslo is a fantastic city. But people from outside of Oslo go there and walk outside the central station which is truthfully a shithole. You need to go to to grunerløkka and frogner to experience the more culturally important experiences.

Ahh. Tbh the whole country sounds very lovely. I haven’t seen a lot of it. But, I watched a POV train video going through Norway and the scenery was spectacular. I think the people I talked to were just being cynical. I honestly don’t know what the issue was. I got the sense they just felt it was too… Crowded? Busy? Fast? Or maybe it was the tourists? Or all of the above. I don’t know.

It’s a rule of life that the central station is always shitty, everywhere.

This is on the Ulvøya bridge in oslo. Definitely fun to jump from if you’re actually aiming for the water.

I’ve been by that bridge so many times, never seen anyone jumping off of it, it’s always just full of fishermen. Seen loads jumping off Ormsund bridge though, which seems far more reasonable.

Yeah, it’s not exactly next to a designated swimming spot, unlike the ormsund bridge, so it’s more of a bother to get back out afterwards. I’d recommend the latter in most cases too 🙂

Thank you! I knew I recognised the bridge, but was mistaking it for Kalvøya somehow.

Hit head on railing, lights out, fall to water, bye bye. But hey it was a cool trick or something!

I broke my tailbone when I was in 6th grade. Fell while rollerblading. It was the worst long-term pain I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve had bones removed from my feet bc of fusion problems and shit. I remember having to sit in class in tears trying to see how long I could go before asking to go to the restroom (we were only allowed to go once) so I could walk around and take some pressure off. I don’t know how I even passed 6th grade bc the pain would be so bad sometimes it would fill my head with a high pitch noise and block out any other sound. I wouldn’t wish a broken tailbone on my worst enemy. But maybe my old boss.

Hell, I felt it. I nearly broke mine falling on my ass at a hockey arena playing broomball. Couldn’t walk right for a couple of days.
