Used to use oxiclean to wash baseball caps. Not quite this dark, but yeah, athletic gear is just a sponge for perspiration.

I soaked a few of my white trail running shirts and a vest in oxy and the water was almost black

I hear fentanyl is stronger than oxy

For those *extra* tough stains, use Carfentanil.

That’s for automotive use, I thought.

Good news everyone! It’s multi-purpose!

One helps you clean, the other helps you lean. It’s a difference you can “C”

Would this be a good solution to restoring hats with that white sweat line?

I’ll just fill my bathroom sink with hot tapwater and a splash of laundry detergent and let em soak for like 10-15 minutes and agitate the hat and water with my hands a couple times. Hang em somewhere to air dry after.

I just wear it in the shower.

I just put mine in the washer and dryer and they seem to do fine. At least 30 washes before replacing

L
LolYouFuckingLoser • 45 points
I used to do the same but feels wasteful to do a full cycle on the washer for just a couple hats and a couple of times when I threw them in with regular loads the bill got messed up (I guess from weight of other wet clothes? idk) so now I just do it in the sink.

The dishwasher top rack is actually suppringly effective at cleaning hats. So long as you aren’t also washing dishes you can load up some hats with regular dishwashing detergent and they’ll come out clean.

And if its a baseball hat, they make those little hat cage things to keep it from getting deformed

W
Wompatuckrule • 15 points
I regularly throw them in the wash with a full load and have never had a problem with the bill. Do you put them in the dryer? I only wash them and then let them air dry.

Those plastic hat cages they sell do work. Gets tossed in with the rest of the laundry and doesn’t deform. Granted, I used them on work hats, so I was more interested in cleanliness than aesthetics or longevity of the hat, but they are an option.

Amazon sells a ball cap holder you can put in your dishwasher.

I’ve also got a popcorn maker that you can put in your toilet

The elegance, the subtleties, the same number of words as the original post… this is art.

You aren’t living until you have an electric cat polisher.

Pssh. Throw suds in toilet, throw cat in toilet, slam the lid down and sit on it for one minute for the cat powered agitating action to take effect. Stand on the opposite side of the toilet from the open bathroom door, open toliet lid, (you do not want to between the cat and the open bathroom door) volia, sparkly clean toilet and cat.

Got some corn I ate last night for that!

Feel like people are massively overcomplicating this when there’s an obvious solution. Get in shower. Lather hair with shampoo. Put hat on. Lather up the hat. Rinse. Done.

Only do this if you don’t give a fuck about your hat, hat brims are made of cardboard. Once they are wet they will NEVER be the same again.

What do you think?
