Last time this was posted, someone said it might be some deep aqueduct in Iran, i don’t remember the name of these thing, and while this is a modern one, it has existed for thousands of years. Basically works identically to the Roman aqueducts system but instead of being off ground, it’s dug deep under the ground, where it’s colder than the desert surface, avoiding evaporation, and keeping the water fresh. Some are abandoned but others are still in use and some have been retrofitted with modern technologies/materials. No one confirmed that’s it anyway, but given how deep this is and the water being clear, it’s might be

A tunnel network the size of a city, and every city has something like that. As a bonus older connections have sewage and storm water mixed. A stinky and nasty bonus.
