Woman and her dog strolled by the unsettling man without a second glance.

A woman and her dog strolled directly by the unsettling man.

That is one of the more Bugs Bunny sneak-a-ways I’ve seen

How the fuck didn’t she scream?!?!

K

I can only imagine that the sheer weight of her massive balls of steel kept the scream down. Seriously though, what an exceptionally smart move on her part. No reaction, screaming, or engaging. She saw him and got the fuck out ASAP, and immediately got help. The trespasser could hear the male voice and knew not only had he been made, but these two likely were going to come out armed, and so he dipped–no confrontation, no violence. Woman has a head on her shoulders for sure

I just hope the dog didn’t get hurt, saw the pupper going after him at the very end.

Dog at fault for not alerting owner immediately

P

My Rottweiler would have noticed him!

Q
quandjereveauxloups • 7 points
My GSD would have, too. But I probably would have after turning the light on. And I’m not sure why she doesn’t have a way to turn the light on from the inside.

It’s funny. I was thinking if not for the camera, it would be a situation like that dancing/singing frog. She swears up and down there was someone there, while he scoffs at the notion because there’s no evidence of it. No person running down the street. Especially with the dog just walking past like that. Every damn dog I know goes apeshit when there’s so much as a squirrel in the yard. It would be hard to believe the dog didn’t notice anything.

quick thinking on her part once she saw him…don’t engage, don’t yell, just get the house asap

Yeah well we’re gonna have to have a serious conversation at the next guard dog quarterly evaluation.

and re-evaluate the choice of doorbell cameras. fuck, even cheapies alert you to ‘person detected’

F
faust112358 • 345 points
They most probably they disabled the alert option after it kept ringing every time one of them sat on the porch.

A
ablackcloudupahead • 84 points
We cut on the alerts by delineating the area directly in front of the door. West facing house and shadows at sunset made it go crazy

P
pperiesandsolos • 61 points
So you’re just saying I need to directly approach your doorway at sunset?

A
ablackcloudupahead • 20 points
I should clarify that what sets it off is the shadows on my lawn. I cut out that area, but any activity on the porch gets alerts

P
pperiesandsolos • 26 points
We’ll see about that (jk have a good day)

Hahaha, thanks you too

That’s basically my camera every night. Last night it went off at 348am. It was just deer grazing on my lawn. One night it was an adorable raccoon climbing down the drain pipe. Rarely ever is it a person, and when it is it’s one of the neighbors running their dog out for emergency potty breaks at odd hours. I did once have an elderly lady who was confused walk all the way down my drive way and right into my back yard. The camera caught it, but my dog did not. He was too busy taking his 5th nap of the day.

I literally just had a notification that turned out to be a racoon lol. It is a bit fun seeing just what the heck is out there at night. I’ve caught about 5 black bears on the Ring since getting it two years ago (including one a few months ago that was climbing the fence to the neighbours and skidded off it, had the whole OH SHIT look and everything as it fell), I’ve lived in this place for over a decade so makes me wonder how many times I was just chillin at home oblivious to Mr. Bear cruising around the yard!

>That’s a black bear Well hold on now. It’s not a person buuuut…

not always, our ring camera would sometimes fail to capture amazon deliveries- even after we changed the parameters

Welp, that bitch just left me out here to die, so I guess I’ll roll with you.

honestly as chill as that guy was I can totally see the dog thinking he was just supposed to be there.

G

Yea. That’s an epic dog fail. I have the sweetest dog ever, but he never ignores people on the property. He wants to go make frens, but an alert is still an alert.

J
jld2k6 • 26 points
It looks like the poor dog tried to alert her but she sushed it and he’s so well behaved he made the matter much less urgent lol. I think he smelled the person but didn’t know where exactly he was

What do you think?
