It was a peaceful afternoon at the local coffee shop when I felt the unmistakable tickle in my nose. Thinking I could suppress it until I safely made it outside, I tried to power through my order of a caramel latte. But just as my barista handed me the steaming cup, the sneeze burst forth like a cannon shot, complete with a dramatic “ACHOO!” that sent my drink flying across the counter, splattering caramel everywhere and nearly taking out a display of pastries.
The look on everyone’s faces was priceless—my barista was frozen mid-frown, and a couple of toddlers at the next table giggled as though I’d just performed a slapstick comedy routine. Instead of feeling embarrassed, I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the moment; here I was, one second trying to sip coffee, the next I was the unintentional star of a one-woman show called “Sneeze-a-palooza.” And let’s be honest, that spontaneous coffee shower was probably the best thing those pastries had seen all day!
