Title: Proof that beluga whales are the funniest animals alive
During a recent trip to an aquarium, I found myself enchanted by a group of beluga whales. As I stood watching, one particularly chubby beluga suddenly decided to put on a show. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he began to swim in erratic circles, flapping his fins and puffing air through his blowhole like it was a comedy club mic. Just then, he spotted a kid holding a snack and performed a spectacular belly flop, splashing everyone around and leaving us all in fits of laughter.
There’s something hilariously unexpected about a large, blubbery creature playing the role of the class clown. Belugas have that goofy, grin-like face that makes everything they do seem comically exaggerated, especially when they channel their inner acrobat for a snack! It’s like they know they’re the star of their own slapstick comedy, reminding us all in the process that humor really does come in all shapes and sizes—even those with a head like a pear and a body that resembles a floating marshmallow!

I was watching the Nat Geo doc on Disney about killer whales. The way they silently rise out of the water to scope out their prey (seals on icebergs), and the way their teeth are set in their mouths, is very Xenomorph-like.
