A small hiccup along the journey.

That’s Cahills crossing. If you go to YouTube you can find a bunch of idiots trying to pass during high tide, when dozens of crocs are there to feed. Some vehicles get stuck and the people have to be rescued. During higher tides the crocs congregate because it’s a smorgasbord of fish traveling upstream and the road acts as a funnel, increasing the likelihood of an easy meal for the crocs. Fair point. I suppose they don’t “have” to be rescued, but since crocs are culled after killing a human it would be a shame for such a magnificent animal to be killed simply because of a human’s poor judgement. Idk how Australian authorities would handle a human death at this location. How would they know which croc to cull? Would they cull *many* in attempt to find the one? Do they choose not to cull? Any northern ausies care to chime in? I’m genuinely curious.

If the people weren’t there nobody would be in the water needing to be rescued from them. If no human being is in that area at the time the crocs are there: how is a croc going to kill, let alone bite someone?

I’m in s FL, I assume any body of fresh water to have a ‘gator and local saltwater is going to have crocs

There is an American crocodile as well, but it’s not as big or as mean as an Australian saltie

There’s a gator sanctuary near the Colorado Sand Dunes as well.

Crocs and gators are all over the globe but Florida is the only place with both

The likely hood of seeing a croc in fl is pretty rare they’re also not even close to as aggressive as salties

It might be difficult but if you see an animal this size it’s always going to be a crocodile( either a saltie or Nile)

For those who dont know: You can tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile based on whether you see them later, or in a while.
