A motorcyclist on a ZX10R almost collided with a truck while traveling at 300 km/h in India.
in WTF
A ZX10R rider in India came dangerously close to colliding with a truck while speeding at 300 km/h.

R
The problem when doing stupid shit like driving 3 times the speed limit is other people around you might also do stupid shit at the same time, like whatever that truck driver was doing. If you assume that you’re the only one on the road breaking the rules, you’ll eventually meet your match.
M
Also a problem with someone driving so extremely fast. The truck driver might have checked his mirror and there was nothing there, then 3 seconds later the bike is right there.
D
It’s the equivalent of someone approaching you at 200km/h. The truck driver *was* clear.
J
I don’t think the bus was turning that sharply at 100kph 😂
I
It is not the same. It is 33% faster, so 33% less time. Also a bike is small, and in the distance even smaller. So the biker definitely has the most fault.
T
>It is not the same Now I might be missing something obvious, but a motorcycle at 300 kph would be approaching you (a truck moving at 100 kph) at 200 kph. I don’t understand your comment. The bike is actually closing 10x faster than if it were traveling at 120 kph.
S
On top of that, everything looks like it almost isn’t moving due to the speed. If you assume it’s all like that…then either you make a mistake at the beginning or you’re not ready for a left turning vehicle who thought that they had plenty of time.
F
If you are driving at 300km/h, regardless what stupid shit someone is doing, you are at fault. And in this case the truck was not doing something stupid. He was taking a wide turn assuming traffic was not excessively speeding.
S
>And in this case the truck was not doing something stupid. He was taking a wide turn assuming traffic was not excessively speeding. It looked very much like the truck driver was doing something stupid. Seems he missed his turn and was going to drive the wrong way up the slip road rather than go to the next junction. The biker was also doing something stupid by going that fast. Both people in this video are idiots and neither of them should be on the road.
R
I’d wager the truck driver did absolutely nothing wrong. It looks like he was making a left turn but he had to do so from a stopped position. From the way the truck was moving it was probably fully loaded making it much slower. From a stop it probably takes ~15 seconds to make that turn, but let’s say for the sake of argument he was 10 seconds into it. The guy driving the bike is going 300km/hr or 83 meters per second That means the bike was 830 meters away when the truck driver started the turn. Even if he checked his mirror prior to turning he probably would have never seen him because he’s too far away. The biker is 100% at fault here and will probably be 100% at fault when he kills himself on that bike
T
I dunno about that, it looks like he’s trying to u-turn and exit to an on-ramp.
S
I’m in no way defending the biker but the truck is taking an exit from an entrance. That’s clearly not an exit whatsoever. Both are wrong but obviously the biker is more wrong here.
C
How tf did he do nothing wrong…? From the markings that’s a slip road and if it’s india that’s a dual carriageway as they drive on the left and you can see from the oncoming traffic on the other side of the median. So not only is he cutting across from the outside overtaking lane, but appears to be cutting across the left lane to go the wrong way up a slip road?! From what I can see the truck driver was being so retarded it makes me wonder if some other bikes had passed him and he was trying to kill someone…
T
The turn is illegal.
Z
>I’d wager the truck driver did absolutely nothing wrong. He was making an illegal turn. That lane to the left is for merging and not for a u turn. Even if this biker wasn’t going 300 kmph, the trucker was definitely making the road unsafe for others. This looks like an expressway – there are specific areas where people are allowed to make u turns. But since that would’ve required him to go a longer distance, he chose to do what many Indian people do on Indian roads.
D
Plus it’s not fun for others to have to get your leg down from a 30 ft tree and fish your torso from a pond
T
The best is to try and follow all the rules and assume everyone else is drunk 13 year old kids with no license.
M
If this isn’t a wake up call for the rider then I don’t know what is
D
im gonna guess he’s more upset that he didn’t make it to 300km/h and he’s gonna try again.
S
My guess is he’s never going to get that speedo to show 300 because it probably doesn’t display anything above 299 even if the bike is actually travelling faster than that.
P
The motorbike is not travelling faster than that. It is locked at 299kmph.
I
Japanese motorcycles follow a decades old gentlemen’s agreement not to exceed 300KPH/186MPH. Bikes can go faster than that but they have electronic limiters that are very easy to bypass. The cluster is not programmed to exceed 300KPH though in most cases.
P
Exactly! EDIT- Listening to the sound of the engine at the beginning of the video, the bike indeed has NOT bypassed the limiter. The engine is at a fixed RPM at 299 kmph. This bike is going at its max speed and stuck at 299 due to the limiter.
Z
Doubt it you can tell from his reaction that he’s passing the buck at the truck driver rather than himself. Truck was doing something weird but also in his perspective probably had nobody remotely behind him
V
Crazy doing this in India out of all places.
T
Crazy doing this anywhere.
W
Even worse in India as nobody follows the road rules. Lines are ignored. Lights are ignored. Signs are ignored. You’re fighting against chaos.
F
I crashed on a bike going 110km/h in India, classic tourist… As I was approaching the apex of a small rise on the highway there was someone that tried to beat me across the road on a scooter, locals had smashed the concrete barrier so they could avoid going down the road to the proper crossing. I was very lucky to live and even luckier to not break any bones, just some stitches in my knee that made impact with the scooter. Got the bike fixed in Mumbai and kept on travelling!
M
Add a sprinkle of brakes don’t work.

HORN OK PLEASE
L
HORN OK PLEASE or PLEASE SOUND HORN PLEASE or HELLO PLEASE SOUND HORN PLEASE depending on how many ribs the tailgate has.
D
Do they not have traffic enforcement in India?
T
They have gravity.
V
Not for long, at this rate.
N
When I was in India it didn’t seem like it, it’s just a lot of communication with horns and expecting others to comply lol
I
None whatsoever. Our traffic police cops stand on major junctions and sit on their motorcycles and watch Instagram reels, while people right in front of them, just decide to take a bus in a wrong side one way.
S
Some places doesn’t have any sign of traffic infrastructure at all. It’s just a big dirt road in the middle of the city.
H
From my experience, none at all.
Z
No. Survival of the luckiest.
O
Is this why navigating through a grocery store in an area with a lot of Indian people is an absolute nightmare? They’re constantly leaving their carts in the middle of the aisle and just straight up cutting you off
T
That’s basically anybody in a grocery store. People, in general, have no awareness of anybody outside their own bubble.
D
This isn’t specific to any ethnicity
D
I mean, as a German who did 220 km/h during traffic school, 300 km/h is not that far off, but my driving school’s bike was a naked bike and going 220 was already insanely exhausting.
D
There is actually a big difference between 220 and 300. The faster you go the more energy is required to go even faster.
D
I’ve driven at both, I would say, that little changes above 160 km/h it only becomes harder to estimate the decision horizont.
Z
There isn’t much difference in terms of results if something were to happen. The likely-hood of you reacting to a sudden lane change while going 220 vs 300 isn’t really meaningful.

Right but you’re not going to die any *more* by falling 300 stories rather than 50. You’re dying either way. For a motorcyclist, crashing at 220 and 300 are the same.
R
Was this to get your drivers license for motorbikes? Or was it an advanced course? If you need to do 220kmh on a test to get your license that’s insane.
