L
Ghillie suit. It’s a tactical noodle.
B
I didnt know sleeping in ponds gives you free hats. BRB!
P
Well it certainly isn’t something to base a government on
_
It saw the Orcas wearing Salmon hats and didn’t want to be outdone.
M
Fascinat (or) ing
S
More like camo
M
I love that the plant is called a water lettuce (we grew these in our pond too) Cabbage hat
T
“No one will know I’m a snake.”

The camera was a two way mirror. Had to make sure they looked fabulous
R
Wasn’t prepared for the adorable flower hat
T
Dude looks like a pokemon.
P
Specifically Ekans
J
I was saying “fuuuuuuuck that” the whole time until I saw the little hat! So cute! 🐍🌱
S
Water lettuce is such an awesome plant.
A
Never thought I’d see a giant snake wearing a fascinator, but here we are.
Y
I feel like anaconda eyes always look sort of milky, as if they’re blind. Is that a normal thing?
A
That means the snake is ready to shed their skin. The eyes shed a layer as well
Y
Oh, cool! Thanks for the info!
K
It’s referred to as being “in blue”. They’re especially alert for danger since they can’t see as well though and are a bit more likely to strike out defensively.

It’s called being “in blue.” Instead of eyelids, snakes have a clear scale over their eyes to protect them. When they get ready to shed, the old skin starts separating from the next layer. That includes the eyecap. It gets this milky appearance when it separates. Then the entire skin sheds not long after. They can’t see well when they’re in blue, so some snakes are unusually defensive and irritable. If you encounter one with milky eyes, it’s best to leave it alone. You’re more likely than usual to get tagged if you try to handle it or move it.
S
anyone else start yawning?
P
Reptiles can yawn, my lizard does it all the time. Just saw a video of someone else with a leopard gecko and it apparently had the hiccups. If you ignore the fact that they, and all reptiles, are emotionless sociopaths you’ll realize they are really adorable pets.
F
Yawned twice lol
T
Fun fact actually, yawning IS contagious
P
Called sympathetic yawning. If you don’t yawn when others do you might be a sociopath
P
It’s also often a sign of ASD. I’m AuDHD and often do t yawn when others do. But this big ol’ yawn got me good. Side fun fact, the giant snake in the original Resident Evil was name Yawn.
M
Yep, I too need a yawn and a big stretch after a large meal.
D
Yes, am now asleep.
W
Okay I wasn’t expecting the cute hat
W
I like the fascinator – nice effect!
R
They’re ready for Derby Day! And if you’re in attendance and smart, you won’t ask it any questions like “how did that one horse and jockey go missing?”
M
I have TMJ and wish I could do this to fix it.
K
Too Much Jelly?
N
Tight mufuckin jaw
E
You can, but it hurts.
B
Same
R
Wow, I wonder if that’s painful for the snake?? Because it looked like it hurt…
V
Snakes can expand their jaws ludicrously far. There are some that can reach a full 180 degrees. Chances are, it was probably a bit uncomfortable, stretched the muscles to get into a more comfortable position (like you can sometimes click your jaw), and was fine again.
P
So a few decades ago there was a snake breeding facility in Florida, they had like a dozen breeding pairs of pythons. A hurricane (Andrew I think) came through and smashed up the place and those snakes got loose. 30 years later and there are like half a million of them in the Everglades, and they fucking eat crocodiles. They are basically made of rubber and will gladly eat anything, and those Florida ones only get a few dozen lbs. Anacondas are the largest (not longest tho) snake in the world, topping out at over 500 god dam pounds. Dude probably just ate a whole ass water buffalo or something.
D
Yep, if pythons can eat entire deer, imagine what anacondas can do… [Daily Show covered the Python situation in the Everglades recently](https://youtu.be/o48Z6_r8X7E?si=AmQPnT5_8RvFOYw8)
H
I once had my jaw pop open for a minute when yawning and it was as terrifying as it was painful. Looking at that made me deeply uncomfortable.
R
Me too…
V
I thibk it’s more of a “stretch” think raising your hands up in the air to stretch.
N
Don’t. Someone is going to say it. Just dont.
T

S
I don’t want none
