An unexpectedly lifeless branch

For all those who were wondering that is a leaf mimic spider. Which are primarily found in the rainforest of southeast Asia. There is another one called the twig mimic spider. Which, as its name would suggest has camouflage abilities that when it holds itself a certain way, it can make itself look almost identical to a broken twig. The twig mimic spider Can be found in the forests of Africa, Asia, Australia, and India. It has also been found as far as Iran.

“I’m the one with EYEBALLS!” – David Hyde Pierce, A Bug’s Life.
B
Thank you. Now I know what countries to avoid.
S
\>countries \>africa, asia,
B
Continents and country
P
As if Australia hasn’t gotten enough spiders already, now I learned they’re in Australia as well 😩
T
Well, thanks to this thread you now know that if you see one to just leaf it alone.
N
Just drop it (🤓)
T
What if we combine it with a Pelican Spider?
D
No, no that’s terrible. Why would you try to create a mimic?
B
I have eyes, and they cannot scream.
R
Ok, fuck nature, Im buying a Hummer. Life was a bad idea…
S
Buy a hummer from an old lady and have her take her dentures out. You won’t be disappointed
[
Go on
B
they’re indestructible. basically you can hit anything and won’t have to fixodent
T
Good news everyone! I’ve filled the Hummer with spiders. 🙂
F
this literally happened to me last month 😭
T
Glad to see someone has noticed my work. You’re welcome, citizen!
J
Speaking as an Australian this is possibly the most American sentence I’ve ever seen. It’s got everything – overreacting to something small and inconsequential, the knee-jerk reaction of buying some random product to solve the non-existent issue, and mention of a big fuck off yank tank. You just needed to mention guns and I would have bingo!
F
You forgot “kill it with fire”.
S
I will say, the mention of the big tank (hummer) was to help kill the environment faster. I would consider that “kill it with fire” just a more… advanced form
R
That short story is a wild and brutal read
K
After reading that story is when I finally realized the weakness of my own flesh and it disgusts me.
M
If the wind blows ANY leaves my way im ending it all
J
[I know a guy who can help with that](https://www.slashfilm.com/img/gallery/everything-you-need-to-know-about-corinthian-from-the-sandman/l-intro-1659131337.jpg)
G
Welp, didn’t like that.
R
And the Alien movies soundtrack
K
Edible kicked in a few minutes before I learned about this animals existence. This is fun..

They better not be in the UK lol
U
This is a female leaf mimicking spider from China. the body can resemble live or dry leaves. It was first discovered in 2016
K
Prob only discovered that recently because everyone else that did before, got eaten by that thing
T
Some species are running a hide and seek contest to see which will be discovered last
P
Bin Laden used to be the world champ but these critters take the cake
A
RESPECTFULLY UNTIL A BODY IS SHOWN BIN LADEN IS STILL THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. I THINK HES DRIVING UBER IN THE TRI STATE AREA.
A
Passenger: “I detect an accent. Where ya from?” Bin Laden: “Oh, you know, here and there; but I grew up mostly in Jersey.”
J
Yowie V’s Nessie for the final
Q
It had been discovered once before….
S
ONCE!
B
discover it a third time and you’re playing with it
G
You’ll go blind if you keep playing with it
M
It had been noped, many a times
R
I thought you were going to say because everyone else that did before thought they were twigs.
H
Or they all got stepped on by people with a compulsion for crushing dead leaves
M
The reality is, it was just so recent because it took that long for someone to not instantly smash it beyond recognition.
F
What an amazing world we live in, that a species like this is only discovered by humans 10 years ago. Life is cool.
N
wonder how many undiscovered things are gonna die undiscovered cause of climate change
L
We’re way ahead of that. Since industrialised deforestation, farming, ocean-trawling began, we’ve probably rendered countless undiscovered species extinct. Climate change is just the next phase.
