Bizarre car air vent

I used to love this style, I had them in my Eclipse. We would remove them and put in gages for our boost and stuff.

Pontiac cars, at least my vibe, had similar. I miss vents that can be twisted and blown in any direction. I feel like current ones suck compared to what we old people used to have.

I’ve never had a newer car. But it sounds crazy that they suck now. Back in my day they were all blowing.

I had a Vibe. Yes, I was embarassed to drive it. I finally traded it when a buddy stuck a “Raiders” sticker next to the pasenger side “Vibe” badge.

I remember it sounding like it was going to fall apart at 60. Took a lot to get it going that fast. I traded it in after the windows stopped working and then doors stopped locking. I was poor when I got it.

Yeah they kinda sound like that lol, I’m still dailying mine. However I got the GT with the 2ZZ motor and that thing goes like hell. Takes a bit to go from a standstill but once you pass 20 the thing just accelerates and doesn’t stop. Honestly one of the most fun cars I’ve ever owned.

Mines got a dent in the rear quarter panel, little to no clear coat left, a loose exhaust that is a little louder than it should be, a cold air intake and is covered in douchebag esque stickers. I have 0 shame about being seen in it.

Yup my Grand Am had these vents too.

I really like my Mazda vents. They can pretty much blow any direction because they have the slider for up/down but then the whole vent can be moved to face left/right. Its like its floating.
