DiCaprio faces mockery at the Golden Globes.

**What Happened:** During the Golden Globes, Leonardo DiCaprio took to the stage to present an award when a mischievous comedian decided to roast him mercilessly. Joking about how Leo has been nominated more times than anyone can count but has only won once, the comedian went on to tease him about his infamous habit of dating significantly younger women. “At this rate, he’s going to star in *The Baby-Sitters Club* next!” the comedian quipped, leaving the audience in stitches.

**Why It’s Funny:** The juxtaposition of DiCaprio’s serious actor persona with the light-hearted ribbing created a perfect storm of humor. Watching a Hollywood A-lister, who often plays intense roles, become the punchline of a joke about his love life felt unexpectedly relatable. Plus, everyone knows that if you can’t laugh at yourself, you might be just a little too serious — which is why Leo burst into laughter right alongside the audience, proving that even movie stars can take a good roasting.

The 2nd part of that joke is so funny.

I thought it was going to be a groaner because it’s the same joke for years now, but it ended up being the setup for some pretty good pasta related humor. I loved how Leo became so enthusiastic about the pasta too.

“Finally, someone who appreciates my iconic 1991 Teen Beat interview and understands my whole thing, my whole thing being pasta.”

If you think about it every single thing we know about Leo DiCaprio would fit in a Bojack skit

I assume it’s cause real recognizes real. He saw she took the time and gave props for going beyond the surface level joke.

Right? Like he’s *got* to know that any roast has to include jokes about how he likes younger women. I forget who it was, but some very famous, very old guy was with his young trophy wife and somehow or other the topic of their relationship came up. She quipped that her favorite thing about him was his wallet and he immediately added, “Good thing mine’s really big.” I can appreciate self-awareness. As long as everybody’s consenting and happy with the arrangement, I figure more power to them.

He looked genuinely impressed that she found that answer too haha

I was about to say Nikki Glasser is way to good at roasting to make this joke. Then she absolutely kills with the second part.

Really clever to self call out the joke and turn into that he’s actually super private and we wish we knew more about his personality.

Aren’t we all enthusiastic about pasta though?

For sure, I guffawed at the 2nd and 3rd jokes. The first was to be expected but still always funny.

I’m glad I finished it. She set up her good stuff by intentionally flopping the first one. Good writing!

Leo saying yes, giving thumbs up and pointing 100% gonna be the new DiCaprio points meme.
