Dog Found among the Vegetables

P
Always wash your veggies, friends!
J
Even if veggies never come close to a dog, they touch so many things along the way that you absolutely should wash them well every time
F
Why do my carrots taste like dog penis?
F
Why do you know what a dog penis tastes like ? 🤨📸
A
“Red rockets” in flight Carrot cake delight
D
Take my damn updoot!
T
Not sure I want to know how you know what dog penis tastes like
N
What does dog penis taste like? 🤔
G
Sure, like *you* don’t know
N
“Why do the carrots taste a little salty and pungent?”
S
The dog looks nervous, I wouldn’t be surprised if he peed back there.
M
I really, really hate people. My mother never told me that I would meet people who were not raised to the same standards that I was. It was her biggest disservice to me outside of making me a normal person who is respectful of others.
M
Especially after learning that one of the largest growers of lettuce is across the road from a large livestock farm and that’s why we get all those E. coli issues😢
H
In Latin America we dilute bleach to wash fruits and vegetables, but North America is not prepared to have this conversation yet. To those wondering: 1 tablespoon (or less, depending on the brand) per 1L of water, soak for 10-15 minutes, rinse thoroughly. And vinegar or baking soda are pretty much useless against some pathogens.
O
Baking soda isn’t supposed to be used for pathogens, it’s meant to remove pesticide residue, and it’s extremely efficient at doing that.
W
Conversation? It really depends on the regulatory environment on if its needed or appropriate. Its like chlorinated chicken and washed eggs.
C
This is pretty much standard procedure in North America for things like fish tanks, ice makers, etc. I don’t know why veggies would be any different.
E
Using bleach to make water safer to drink in an emergency is one thing, but I would never use bleach to wash produce. Especially if the skin of it is porous.
M
Be extra careful, wash your meat and two veg carefully.
N
They recommend not washing meat because it doesn’t actually kill bacteria, only spreads them around. It increases the risk of cross-contamination from splattered water around the entire kitchen. If it splatters and gets on a cutting board or counter that later gets used to make a Salad you can get sick.
E
You aren’t wrong, but they were making a dick and balls joke
G
Damnit. It went right over my head. Which is surprising because I have amazing reflexes.
B
Yes. My wife told me to stop washing my cock in the kitchen sink too.
R
Particularly if a dog has sat on them.
P
That dog is probably not the worst thing to ever touch those veggies. Not really any regulation at all unlike the meat industry.
F
Funny how many people are in the comments outraged at this woman without taking the time to consider that it wasn’t her dog but she just happened to be the person who found it.
1
Naa we don’t bother watching the entire thing around here, we watch 5 seconds of it then snap to judgements and criticism.
R
That’s what I would do if I were an AI
E
pfft watch the video? Buddy we’re commenting based off the title.
R
One of the few times I strangely just assumed the correct thing lol however I thought maybe it was some kind of small horse at first
A
To be fair I think it’s a pretty rational assumption. I don’t normally go around pulling other people’s dogs out of the produce. And in all seriousness, if I DID find a dog in such a position I probably wouldn’t go tugging on it because I don’t know the dog and I don’t know it’s not going to bite me while it’s cornered back there
F
If you watch their body language, you can see the lady isn’t angry and isn’t aggressive. The dog though looks like it knows it’s in trouble (maybe going to get beat) and is hiding from its owner.
P
I think that lady is helping the dog though. (Not hers) I’m guessing since she doesn’t seem to know its name or be comfortable around it. https://thenerdstash.com/colorado-walmart-shopper-finds-random-dog-in-the-lettuce-section-rescues-the-scared-pooch-should-have-been-in-with-the-collie-flower/
P
I agree, at the start she tells the woman who approaches that she “just saw something black and white in there” and at the end she says “Omg, let’s go find your mom…”
M
That’s what I would say if it were my dog
C
And there is another dog barking in the background. What dog-wild grocery store is this??

Plot twist: one of the employees brought their dog in and kept it in the room behind the produce.
