Nah, I think he is probably fine and if any has some minor injuries. It would be a different story if he hit a tree or something but he deaccelerates pretty slowly. These parking cars and the curb before them working as a jump, probably saved his life or at least most of his bones. He got really lucky with that outcome.

We have some of those. It results in fines amounting to 50000eur, unpaid, person buying another BMW beater, again driving recklessly. They don’t have license anymore but are not in prison unless someone gets killed. If the government could issue taking away legs and arms and give them back as necessary, maybe that would prevent these jackasses staying on the road. Problem is, sociopaths and psychopaths don’t care, they don’t feel any guilt over unpaid fines or fear. If such people decide to commit evil, nothing can stop them unless they are physically barred from it.

He might be. I have worked for the government a bit in relation to driver’s licenses. Dude is likely at minimum getting years of driving prohibition, some jail time, and might have to do a “second order” health qualification exam.

Found the video on a World news telegram channel with no context so I looked it up. (Jan 24,2026) The car was speeding down Deak Ferenc Street and couldn’t react in time when another car was making a turn. Hungary’s National Ambulance Service said a young man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Do you mean the silver car? I wouldn’t blame the driver for the accident, at at all. I would say that their behaviour afterards (from what we can see, just leaving) is terrible. Even if you’re not at fault, you should have a modicum of care for people having accidents, even if self-caused. Imagine he died in there while you could have saved him. Is that mistake he made enoguh for him to deserve death? A death you could have prevented? A common counterargument here is that the other driver could become aggressive, which could be true (if they’re not knocked out by the crash). If you’re scared of that, at least stop at the side of the road and call emergency services. I’m pretty sure the person in the silver car could have been hit with a hit and run where I live, even if they didn’t touch the other car at all. If you’re in an accident, unless it’s for some safety reason you stop and call emergency services, at the very least. Again, the speeding driver is certainly at fault for the accident itself.
