English exited the conversation 😂

I was in a group chat with my friends, just casually discussing what to have for dinner. You know, the usual debate over pizza or tacos. Suddenly, my friend Mike chimed in with a voice note that completely butchered the word “sushi.” He managed to pronounce it as “shoo-shee,” and we all sat there, frozen in disbelief, listening to it on repeat. As if it couldn’t get any worse, he followed up with an attempt to spell it, and the poor guy threw in a silent “h” for good measure.
The moment felt like a scene ripped straight out of a sitcom—the awkward silence, the snickers that erupted, and the fact that we collectively acted like we’d just witnessed a Shakespearean tragedy. We basically lost an hour of our lives just trying to figure out how on earth that “h” made sense, like maybe English had been an undercover language this whole time, just waiting for the right moment to ghost us. I mean, I didn’t know words could leave the chat too! 😂

I’ve been to several restaurants in Japan where the bathrooms had no sign at all, either the door or a plaque was red or black with nothing written in any language. Historically the color red is associated with females, and black with males. You need a secret decoder ring for that shit.

My favourite is where one is a red door with a black plaque, and the other is a black door with a red plaque. You just end up waiting nearby and studying who goes in which

Only to find out youre at a bar famous for androgynous patrons who wear extremely judgmental and exacerbated expressions.

In Lithuania, it’s triangles, just 🔺and🔻. Took me a few wrong guesses to figure it out.

Dress and a guy with wide shoulders, easy. There are pretty similar ones but with a circle on top representing the head.

Funny, I assumed the opposite. Historically an upward triangle has often represented masculinity and the other one femininity. Also, the downward pointing triangle looks like a woman’s genitalia.

I thought this as well

A triangle? Maybe the pubes but it’s more of an oblong oval if anything lol

J
Javka42 • 8 points
The pubes, yes. I was talking about a nude woman seen from a distance, not the view from all up in there.

X

But that’s the best view….

Never underestimate the human desire to be crass! Could easily be pointy up for men (because penis) and pointy down for women (because muff)

Maybe it was easy for you because you read it somewhere else or maybe you are usually thinking about guys with wide shoulders? There is no way any person without the knowledge would come to that conclusion otherwise.

One time in NYC, there was bathroom and they were blue and purple! In a neonlight bar!

Probably because of their periods they get the red tag while many men there probably have dark pee pees, hence black 😂😂 Edit: instead of downvoting, rack some grey cells & give a theory on red and black. I dont give a f*** about your votes.🤣🤣🤣

Are you? Cause if you were you would understand what is meant by supposition of a theory.

This kid learned a new word in English class, and is making it everyone else’s problem. There’s *my* supposition. (It’s a supposition because I’m open to being wrong, unlike you)

Oh yes, the very ethnically diverse *checks notes* Japan with their black pee-pees. What a grand theory my dude

Clearly do give a fuck about the votes if you had to comment on it rather than accept them

What do you think?
