For everyone who made it through 2025

In 2025, a new trend swept the world: pet influencers had taken over social media, and every cat and dog was suddenly a millionaire. One ambitious owner decided to make their goldfish famous by dressing it in tiny costumes and filming elaborate underwater TikToks. They even trained it to perform tricks—like swimming through hoops and pretending to be a synchronized swimmer. The grand finale was a live-streamed underwater talent show, where the fish flopped at every trick, but the audience loved it. They cheered and shared the video, declaring it the “most relatable pet ever.”
The absurdity of a goldfish earning fame while doing absolutely nothing right struck a chord with everyone who had ever felt like a failure on social media. Instead of fancy vacations and perfect selfies, here was a fish that couldn’t even remember its own name, yet was living the dream. As the views skyrocketed, people started to joke that they’d rather be a goldfish than deal with the stress of adulting—after all, how hard could it be to swim around and occasionally flop for a camera?

I’ll be deadass with you. That means the evil gets defeated and most of us survive. I can live with that ending.

As much as I LOVED seeing Jake Paul with his literal jawbreaker, I feel like all of us have the same look on his face getting rocked looking forward to the new year.

Fuck yeah! That overlay text mildly annoyed me, then reading this made me LOL. This is a fucking perfect observation.

Anyone who had the ability to not pick up a cigarette this year is worthy of something.

This February marks 2 years cigarette free for me after almost 20 years! Got laid off in December 2022. Then again in 2023. Took 2024 to quit smoking and study. Can’t wait for February 2026! It’ll be two years! But, December is a very anxious time for me.

Has anyone seen that video of a chick doing a Russian accent saying something like “Hello comrade. There are two weeks left in 2025 and you have not smoked crack, and I don’t think you’re getting enough credit for that.” It’s way more comforting than it should be lol

I was having a conversation the other day with a younger co worker. They asked “why don’t people do anything anymore for New Year’s Eve, it was a big deal my first few years of college” I told her, “Because back in the day, things actually improved. There was hope that the next year was going to bring about something better… whether personally, professionally, society, the country, the world, whatever…. There was optimism and hopefulness… do you feel that way today? Do you really think 2026 is going be better? “

it’s going to be better for me personally for sure. can’t affect anyone else but as of the start of December I’m: – eating right – not drinking – building savings – back at the gym and most importantly, I have plans for next year. goals and targets I’m damn sure gonna hit. I will not repeat these bastard 12 months. if we all get nuked whey, nowt I can do about it, so all I’m doing is changing myself and hoping for the best.

> back at the gym > You should try to do more than just your back though. At the very least try to throw in some core

We’ve been doing this since 2016. Somehow each year has gotten increasingly worse. There is no rock bottom.
