The other day, I was walking down the street when I saw a guy in a full Spider-Man costume scaling the side of a building. I stood there, mouth agape, thinking, “Wow, real-life superhero!” But as he got higher, it became clear he was just stuck because his web-shooters were malfunctioning—he couldn’t find a way to get down! The crowd below started making suggestions like, “Just swing to that tree!” while he yelled back, “I’m not a real Spider-Man; I’m just trying to go viral!”
The sheer absurdity of a wannabe superhero literally hanging on for dear life turned into a bizarre comedy show. He flailed his arms, trying to mimic spider-like agility while the crowd offered increasingly ridiculous advice. At one point, he yelled, “I regret everything!” and I couldn’t help but burst out laughing, realizing that sometimes being a hero means knowing when to quit and calling for an Uber instead!
