**He Really Said “Yo”**
Last Saturday, my friend Tim decided he wanted to impress his date by taking her to an upscale restaurant. As we sipped fancy cocktails, Tim awkwardly fumbled through small talk until the waiter approached the table. Instead of the usual “Hello” or “Good evening,” Tim spontaneously yelled, “Yo! What’s up?” The entire restaurant turned to look at us, and the waiter, taken aback, raised an eyebrow but managed a nervous laugh before moving on.
The mix of Tim’s laid-back demeanor and the posh atmosphere was pure comedy gold. His date’s eyes widened as if she was about to be asked to participate in a rap battle. To make matters worse, he acted as if nothing happened, continuing to order “fancy stuff” like he hadn’t just casually turned fine dining into a scene from a sitcom. The juxtaposition of his casual “Yo” with the ambiance of crystal chandeliers and tuxedoed waitstaff had us in stitches for the rest of the night!

There are basically two families in the scene, the one on the left, and the one on the right. The mom of the rapper is the one wearing green (older sister of the uncle), the guy in white in between them is unrelated and is simply the rapper’s rap partner or something along those lines. Except for the guy in white, both families are part of the same extended family with the grandmother.
