I believe I’ve discovered the lion from Madagascar.

It seems the lion from Madagascar has been located.

That landing didn’t look very healthy

I was thinking the exact same thing! Very unhealthy!

Nope. Not healthy at all.

Q

Lions aren’t known for eating their vegetables so no not very healthy at all.

Yeah, I guess they didn’t get that landing thing that other cats got.

Even my Maine Coon doesnt and hes 13kg (giga for a cat, smol compared to lion). I have to remind myself and my gf that we need to treat him like a dog, unlike his little sister who gets grabbed and moved like a little accessory that bounces high and low

> 13kg Damn… my cat’s huge (body length) for a normal cat and only weighs 5.5kg

Maine coons are YUGE we had one when I was growing up that was about 25lbs and super long

Yeah my highland lynx boy is like that. Similar in size and just looks very rough jumping off even the back of the couch. He runs down stairs like a maniac and I get concerned every time.

lions are not ever climing trees and are pack hunters….. all the reasons for cats beeing able to land well is the tree climbing the agility and speed of solo hunting or bird catching… lions havent done any of these things rly for millions of years…. dont think a little fall broke its legs or anything do, more just to weak to catch itself so it faceplanted. not sure why i bothered typing this, my apologies

More mass, heavier impacts from falling. Small things can fall further without ouch. Big things have their bones go crunch. Science.

My cat would have done way better… even from the same height.

My knees buckled when I saw that too.

Walk it off….

It’s nice to see a lion not looking majestic for at least a couple seconds, once in awhile!! It just reminds you that they’re still ridiculous house cats deep down, when they aren’t being kingly!

Maybe they sedated him and he was still under some effects?

G

Definitely hasn’t practiced his superhero landing…

R

I think he really hurt himself

C

Yeah with how that landing looked I think there’s a good chance he might’ve just broken something. That walk at the end is the “holy fuck this hurts but I don’t want to let anyone know that” walk.

Lions are pretty squishy and he spread the impact on four legs and a broad chest. I’m optimistic that he’s only bruised

I
I-Here-555 • 61 points
He came away with a bruised pride.

He promised he wouldn’t climb out the hole in the top, but apparently he was …

M
masher005 • 2 points
…. THUNDER STRUCK!!

C
Cartoonjunkies • 15 points
Those hind legs are what kinda concerned me, they look like they just gave out on the landing.

Cats are known for actively hiding injuries.

🤌It’s a fuckin Lion, not your neighbors orange cat..they fall out of tress, take down 800lb prey that fighting for its life, and shed no blood after taking multiple hyena bites to the face..but that 10ft jump from the truck? Kryptonite.

F
fripletister • 7 points
Aaaaaand sometimes those acts injure them. Just because it happens in the wild doesn’t mean they don’t sustain injuries from any of those events lmao

What do you think?
