Requested to borrow a friend’s earbuds for a day trip, overlooked that the friend is a lowlife. He utilizes those buds daily.
in WTF
I borrowed my friend’s earbuds for a day trip, only to remember he’s the kind of guy who uses them daily.

Earbuds are one of the few items I would never lend out or ask for. Never know what hygiene habits people lack
S
“Hey, can I borrow a pair of underwear?” Same energy. You’re better off just reading or something
P
Those are *usually* cleaner as washing machines exist.
H
Cleaning solutions suitable for earbuds, rags, qtips also exist! Sitting in silence, or, sitting with the loud noise in one’s head also exists. You know what doesn’t exist? A time machine so I can try to go back to right before I saw that photo, and choose a different adventure. 😎😂
R
It’s far more common to clean you underwear after each use than it is to clean your earbuds with the same frequency.
R
“Hey buddy, can I borrow that \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ that you jam into your bodily orifice on a regular basis!” are not words I would say.
A
I even hesitate when it comes to regular headphones sometimes. You never know….
L
Wait, you’re suppose to clean your underwear after every use?
D
Nah, you can also just throw them away everytime, no need to use a washing mashine
S
I just buy the edible kind, it also covers breakfast
P
Same. I panic cleaned my ear buds after having to endure the picture and the information that went along it which might be worse.
Z
Not to mention you can buy cheap earbuds pretty much anywhere.
M
Worn pair of underwear, at that
M
may I pick YOUR nose?
S
As gross as those earbuds are, honestly the real /r/wtf is asking to borrow anyone’s earbuds
R
OP didn’t want to just say “wtf my ear buds are so gross”
L
Just like toothbrushes, there’s some things that shouldn’t be shared.
I
Anything that goes inside of you shouldn’t be shared.
T
Clearly you’ve never been to an orgy.
M
For example this photo should never have been shared
C
And if it was a matter of life and death so I must use someone else’s earbuds or I will die a long and painful death (short and painful is still preferable to doing that), at minimum I am bringing my own tips.
S
Noup, death is an acceptable alternative.
S
100% this. The thought of borrowing someone’s ear buds is a hard N.O.
S
OP really wanted karma. These are his…
A
Lending out earbuds *is* what constitutes a lack of hygiene habits…
J
I have almost never heard of this tf
C
People borrow other people’s ear buds? That’s disgusting no matter what.
M
I work in a hotel and earbuds are a common lost and found item. Sometimes they’re not found though, and people will accuse staff of taking them. Like fuck no, we’re adults we don’t want your nasty earbuds. If I really need to emphasize it I’ll show them the earbuds currently in lost and found to demonstrate that nobody wants preloved earbuds.
J
I used to work at a hotel and a friend of mine stayed there once. He had some airpods stolen from a locker and tracked to a hotel staff house. We drove over and made them beep when he denied it. He was fired. It definitely happens
B
yep, my parents were in vegas and had to switch rooms, my mom accidentally left her airpods on the bed, by the time they had unpacked and moved into the new room housekeeping had “cleaned” their old room and her airpods were gone and housekeeping claimed they didn’t have them, we complained but the manager wouldn’t do anything about it unfortunately so we left the hotel a bad review
P
I just lived through a whole bunch of hotel rooms (house flooded) and the amount of stuff I seem to have “misplaced” through these rooms is mind boggling when we barely had the clothes on our back when we got there. Pair of earbuds, multiple medications, the power cable for our PS4 (???), and a few of my son’s little toys (he autistic and knows where all his shit is). Like what use do you have for SSRI meds and a ps4 cable?
C
Yeah the cleaning staff is only turning in the nasty ones as a cover story that they never take them to begin with.
L
Don’t be naive bud. You think someone wouldn’t steal earbuds worth a lot of money because they’re used? Have you ever heared of cleaning? Couple of bucks worth of rubbing alcohol and qtips and a few minutes and you’re done. Now you can use them as if they are new. Let’s also not forget most of these have removable tips that you can replace. They are significantly cheaper than buying a new earbud altogether. So yes, people will steal them no problem because this is a non issue for anyone with a few minutes and a couple of bucks to invest into cleaning up.
R
I mean if they’re AirPod pros you can just buy new tips
D
I forgot my AirPods at an Airbnb last year and it’s still linked to my ‘Find My’. Someone is 100% still using them to this day.
R
Unfortunately the same is not true for phone chargers.
C
These are OPs own for sure
Z
I am also shocked that this is a thing!
T
For real… I mean at least give it a good lick to clean it before handing it off
O
Are you shitting out of your ears? Also Hutt plugs are objectively easier to sanitize than ear buds.
S
Who shares ear buds regardless? Want my toothbrush as well?
G
This toiletpaper still has clean spot, ya wanna use rest of it?
S
Can you spare a square?
A
She can’t even spare a square!
S
She doesn’t have a square to spare
S
mind if i use it as bedding?
L
Yeah wtf? If someone asked to borrow mine I would be disgusted. Never would I dream of borrowing someone else’s.
L
Just the anal beads, thanks. Sharing a toothbrush is a bit gross.
1
I share with my wife. She sometimes lets me put my penis in her so I feel this negates the yuck factor. Does OP’s degenerate friend let him jam the old cock inside him?
T
Honestly I’d take a penis over someone’s earbuds
