Insane cycling ability that could be lethal
in WTF
Insane biking trick that’s incredibly dangerous.

T
That’s not skill, that’s just an attention whore who hates their life and doesn’t mind risking it
H
I would say he doesn’t care about any life is ok risking the lives of everyone around him.
F
What’s just as bad is the OP that titled this video as showing a “skill” when it’s not. It’s not a skill, it’s stupidity and the OP is pert of the problem of promoting foolish stupidity as a positive thing to be admired.

A
Yes it’s a mistake posted on other sub reddit as stupidity!!
F
You should have changed the title then. 🧐
T
But then OP doesn’t get 700 upvotes!
T
And is risking the lives of everyone around him in doing so. Might sound mean, but anyone who wants to do something dangerous if they hate their life, I’m ok with. What I’m not ok with is if it could hurt others. Want to go on a solo hike in Alaska with a bunch of polar bears? Have a great time! Want to break the world record for how long you can hold your breath? Have at it. But don’t do something that puts others in danger.
T
I couldn’t agree more. Even though idiots like this always have a family who cares about them and will suffer if anything happens to them, at least the idiot will only be harming their own kind and not other peoeple’s lives who have nothing to do with them.
W
I am so scared that my son will end up this way and throw away his life for Instagram. I mean, he’s 6 now, a wonderful happy smart kid, but just the thought of how dumb I was at 18 makes me terrified. Do people not value life?
J
I think it’s more a case of main-character syndrome. Like, the thought is there that what they’re doing is dangerous, but they think they’re the exception and will be fine because of their “skills” or simply because they don’t think bad things will actually happen to them.
H
I believe this to be the most accurate case. Teens are still building their “reality model” in their heads and haven’t quite developed the mortality part.
C
There was a study years back that children were not developing the portion of their brain that told them they could get hurt because everything that is being made for them keeps them from being injured. This in turn was having children into their twenties still exhibiting risky behaviors. I’m sure since we continue to make everything overly safe, the outcome is continuing to get worse.
S
Ya I feel like I had a somewhat safe child hood thanks to warning labels etc. but some time in my teens I decided to stop jumping off my roof because my brain finally told me that I was going to break a leg
M
Meanwhile, I was hanging from a sharp fence by the flesh of my arm when I was 7. I got hurt a ton as a kid while exploring and playing. I also lived in a rural place for a while so, scorpions, snakes, spiders, creek, climbing rocks, riding bikes in steep hills through trees, etc. I was a latchkey kid from age 11. I had lots of freedom and got hurt a lot. Cuts, bruises, sprained joints, scars, and so on. As a result, I’m very much aware of my mortality and the dangers of reckless behavior. I’m quite safety-oriented now and I’m not a fan of taking needless risks because I’ve got the scars to remind me of those lessons learned. Could I have been hurt badly? Maybe. Less badly than this motorcycle guy could be. Kids need to be allowed to get hurt by doing stupid stuff, just make sure that the stupid stuff won’t lead to loss of life or limb.

Social media is ruining many things!!
S
Less main character syndrome and more insecurity. People like this do it because they’re trying to impress people. They lack self confidence and are trying to elevate their social status through risky “accomplishments” in the hope that makes them popular and well liked. The facet of main character syndrome you describe contributes and enables the behaviour, but it doesn’t necessary drive it.
S
The number of <30yo people in my life who said shit like "well nothing has happened yet" when I criticize them for bad driving behavior and later wrecking themselves on the road has confirmed to me that too much of the human population has no ability to foresee consequences. I get it, you can't experience life after your own death. I guess in that way you really do live forever, if only from your own perspective. But why hurt the people around you too? Jackasses
T
I know what you mean. I don’t have kids yet but I got two nephews and I can’t help but worry that they’ll do the same dumb shit I did when I was young. I think the best a parent can do is keep an eye out for who they’re hanging out with. Most dumb shit I ever did was trying to impress other stupid people like myself.
D
Luckily, I have none of those things, but my gf and my friends do have kids/nieces/nephews. It will be “interesting”…
B
18 year old adrenaline junkies? No at the same level you do now, no.
C
keep him off social media. It’s not a requirement. I made the mistake of letting my kids get on. Saw the cesspool. Took it away. They bitched about it for a while, but now they agree they don’t even want it anymore.
E
Heavily limiting screentime is one of the most important decisions a parent can make these days. Their sense of reality shouldn’t come from an app.
B
Teach him what you’ve learn but let him make his own mistakes. Over parenting will make him do more stupid stuff
T
>but just the thought of how dumb I was at 18 makes me terrified. >Do people not value life? I guess you answered your own question.
M
I was going to say, to anyone who rides this isn’t hard, like at all. What it is, is really really stupid.
S
The truck driver is shitting himself the whole time he’s under there.
T
Yeah this isn’t exactly hard. I’m a motorcyclist, all this guy is doing is maintaining speed while ducked, but obviously with the aspect of imminent possible death to make it “interesting”. I reckon any decent fully qualified biker could do this, and of course it goes without saying that no one _should_ ever do this.
S
Who also doesn’t mind fucking up someone else’s life when they run over him and feel terrible about it for years.
T
He doesn’t think he’s risking his life. He’s never been seriously hurt, and he’s young, so he honestly can’t imagine that happening.
C
seriously. anyone with the skill to ride a motorcycle competently can do this.
B
Sure, any attention whore has this much control over the bike, right ?
T
They can barely maintain constant speed on a motorcycle, wow. So skillful. What’s next? Give him a shape sorter, I bet they can fit almost all the blocks in their right holes! Lol
T
Square? Square! Cylinder? Square! Triangle? Square! Arch? square!
H
Anybody can roughly keep their lane and match a vehicle’s speed on a bike, yeah. This is like a tightrope walk where you replace the tightrope with a sidewalk.
N
One brake and he becomes red paste

Ye ol meat crayon

Forbidden Marine Snack

M
One pothole and hed truly become one with the bike
D
Not just that, I had a truck kick up a 4″ chunk of concrete that shattered my windshield like a gunshot. Even if that dude was wearing a helmet, something like that would remove his head from his body.

What a dumb asshole.
C
Fuck the cunt on the bike, what about the poor truckie who has to live with the fact that this dip shit killed themselves on their rig. What a selfish self centered stupid fucking thing to do.
A
(not so) fun fact: A major city subway train conductor has almost a 100% certainty to kill at least one person jumping on the tracks during their employment. They get regular grief preparation trainings and train conduction companies have their own large department dedicated to psychological assistance for those cases.

Unfortunately that doesn’t seem too unreasonable to me. I would not be suprised at all if that terrible statistic was applicable here too, if you swap the major city part for our national rail service. On average there’s around 200 train related suicides every year. Many machinists talk about “when, not if.” This shit happens a lot more often than you’d think. I’ve been on a train where it happened twice..
_
> 200 There are more than 200 train/subway systems in the world, but assuming each get 1 a year, than train conductors have a solid chance of knowing a coworker involved in one, but certainly not a 100% chance of being the 1 guy involved. Edit: 200 isn’t even a single country. 100% isn’t true, but a 30% chance seems reasonable given Gemini isn’t hallucinating.

The probability for at least one life time fatal incident is indeed between 80-100% in germany, if you are working in an urban environment until retirement.
