Long Beach PD and CHP seem surprisingly unconcerned.

Long Beach Police Department or California Highway Patrol not showing concern.

It’s actually pretty impressive

Seriously. One bump and their entire rear end is fucked but that stack job is fucking impressive.

It’s like a few cm off the ground, a big enough pebble is ripping that bumper off.

Nah, this is in America. It can’t be “cm” from anything, that’s against the law. There is one slice of wonder bread’s thickness (a fraction of the length of a football field for reference) worth of clearance there. A big enough pebble is ripping that bumper off.

the rear suspension is fully fucked already, but yeah

Right? How did they balance it and where did they start? Crazy

I was just thinking that. That is some crazy redneck engineering. I feel like the owner just continually builds onto that bad boy.

So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly… 🎶

Evicted and no money for a moving truck?

D

That’s why, not how

S

Oh… The how is rope, bungie cords, and determination.

Ahhh… Now we’re talking… So it’s not like some rack or something? This shit is really hanging onto that car by the threads of life?? That is impressive.

Mix in a splash of hoarding behavior too. I promise 80+% of that stuff is pretty non-essential to living. If I lost everything and had to sleep in my car (which I did for 3 months roughly 20 years ago), if it doesn’t fit in the car it would get sold/donated.

If you look at it more closely, it looks to be mostly junk. Toward the top right, there’s a window AC unit that looks to be mostly gutted. There are a couple of bicycles and just bags of junk.

V
vigilantesd • 9 points
Sure, but how is it all staying in place?

They slapped it and said the magic incantation, “Yeah, that ain’t going nowhere.”

C

A slap on it and a loud proclamation of sturdiness.

Initially the front was hanging just at the top of the windshield and ended at the end of the trunk lid. The first time they accelerated the whole thing shifted back and we end up with this.

They probably don’t want the multiple problems that come from this mess here.

N

Yeah looks like way too much paperwork and coordination. I’d be looking the other direction too. I’d probably make a terrible cop.

R
Rpanich • 7 points
From the evidence in front of us, you’d make a perfectly average cop.

A lot could fall back on the taxpayers too
