So, there I was, settling in for a trilogy marathon that my friend raved about, ready for epic plot twists and deep character arcs. The first movie started strong; it had a talking cat who wore a monocle and solved crimes with a quirky detective. I was intrigued! Then the second film took a sharp dive into a dystopian world where grilled cheese sandwiches ruled the land, and the hero had to overthrow the tyrant who also happened to be a goldfish. By the time the third installment rolled around, I could hardly contain my confusion when it turned into a romantic comedy about a toaster who found love with the microwave. Seriously, how were these films even related?
I mean, one moment I was munching popcorn preparing for a classic whodunit, and the next I was contemplating the emotional depth of kitchen appliances. It turned into a guessing game—how many random things could they possibly throw together? I felt like I was in a fever dream, wondering if I’d accidentally wandered into a parallel universe where logic took a vacation. As the end credits rolled, I blurted out, “Well, at least all my kitchen appliances have a better love life than I do!” Which is probably the only lesson to take away from that bizarre trilogy.

This trilogy was the strangest I’ve seen; I couldn’t grasp how it all related.
