My 8-year-old, armed with a lump of clay and an imagination bigger than the universe, decided to create a masterpiece one afternoon. I walked in, expecting to admire a dinosaur or perhaps a flower, only to be greeted by what could only be described as a “potato monster” with googly eyes, three legs, and a very questionable smile. I stood there, both confused and amused, as he proudly declared it the “King of Snackland.”
I couldn’t help but laugh hysterically because never in my wildest dreams did I think parenting would involve analyzing the artistic merits of a clay potato with a crown made of macaroni. It was as if Picasso and a toddler had a chaotic collaboration, resulting in a creature that could only instigate giggles and questions like, “Is it edible?” and “Can it rule over real snacks?” It was delightful chaos wrapped in creative innocence, proving once again that in the world of kids, everything is possible—even if it resembles a lumpy vegetable!

This was made from clay by my 8-year-old. Enjoy.

G
why is he crying
M
He isn’t afraid to show his emotions
O
But please…. What caused these emotions ?
J
He looked in the mirror!!
S
Did you ask him to change his ways?
_
No message could have been any clearer
D
He has no eyelids, yet he must blink!!!
N
Poor thing, he’s seen too much!!
C
No you mustn’t blink! Not in the library!
S
The horror bro. The horror
S
This is some real art man. Put it in a glass box in your home. And say you bought it for like 5m
M
Because he exists. And he wants to not. But since he exists and just endures, he wants you to not exist. But he lacks the ability to make that happen for he is just clay. Thus he cries.
Y
Because it is his dad
F
Why aren’t YOU crying ?
L
uhm.. where did your child get all those teeth?
W
Keep asking those questions and he’ll knock yours out too
I
Underrated reply
L
Robbed the tooth fairy.
S
There’s a second hand store in the town I live in that regularly has human teeth. I have never asked the owner where she gets them, because I’m not sure I want the answer. ..It’s probably a more mundane answer than I could imagine anyway.
C
Why do think he made the model with tears?
P
Have you seen the tv show “Sharp Objects” ? *Spoiler Alert- don’t google it if you want to watch it*
H
If this isn’t an album cover within the year we’ve failed as a society
E
Primus
M
Primus sucks
J
It looks like Tool or NIN video.
F
I’m thinking more Sepultura Ratamahatta video.
I
I immediately thought Green Jell-O (ugh Green Jelly because lawsuits)
R
“This is America”
T
Blink twice if you need help!
K
He can’t blink, he has no eye lids.
L
No wonder his eyes are watering like that.
R
I have no eyelids, and I must blink. OP, your kiddo doing OK?
K
You and him should have a staring contest.
M
How did an 8 year old manage to convey fear and anguish, joy and relief, all in one piece? A masterpiece in emotion.
X
Seriously though
W
I love this figure. From the raw emotion to the detail of the teeth. I feel like Ive been this figure at times in my life.
O
Along with the value of keeping fluoride in our drinking water
O
Asking price?
L
There’s not enough money in the world to reflect the value of this masterpiece.
Z
Honestly, that is pretty good for an 8 year old.
R
Extraordinary
I
For an 8 year old, this kid is an artist.
M
I think so too.
W
He’s going to make $$$$. Get ready and be careful. Love it seriously.
A
What class? Facial reconstruction? Kid has MONSTER skills. 😉
R
Are they taking commissions?
S
Looks like something you’d see on an Adult Swim cartoon.
K
This reminds me of one of those archaeological facial reconstructions where they dig up a 2000 year old skeleton and try to show what they looked like in life
M
Thats awesome!
A
This is an absolute masterpiece. You should be so proud, I sure would be!
