Training methods used by DEA agents.

Last Wednesday, I decided to amp up my workout routine by following a “how to train like a DEA agent” video I stumbled upon while procrastinating on my couch. It started off normal enough—push-ups and sit-ups—until I realized the instructor was using a prop weed plant to demonstrate “fieldwork.” By the end of the session, I was panting, covered in sweat, and my living room looked like a suburban drug bust gone horribly wrong with my cat eyeing the fake plant like it was her next toy.
Picture this: my neighbors peering through the window, watching me roll across the floor chasing a spray bottle while pretending to “interrogate” my bewildered cat. I could hear them whispering about our “questionable activities.” I’m just thankful my parents weren’t driving by—imagine explaining to them that their child was simply working on their fitness by training for a non-existent DEA undercover mission with a feline accomplice!

As a German speaker I got really confused when that song started playing. Had to check all my other tabs because I couldnt locate where it is coming from. The song goes like”We need eggs, no soft ones, just the hard ones”. Eggs (german Eier) could also be translated to balls.

DEA would be tripping over themselves to accommodate them if they only knew how successful the show was going to be, and how insanely competent they portrayed the DEA on the show.

Insanely competent? The villain of the story was Hank’s brother-in-law and there were signs pointing to Walt all along, like Walt’s glassware disappearing. Hell, Hank even unwittingly helped Walt move money that Walt flat out told him what he was moving. Insanely competent isn’t how I would characterize the portrayal.

Hard to devote yourself 100% to your career when you have a rock collection going

I would argue that Hank knew it was him but was hesitant because he was family, I think if it was anyone else, Walt would have have been finished halfway through the first season. But, also, it’s a tv show and guessing how Walt is going to escape is part of the drama of it all 😄

Hank had ZERO clue it was Walt. Hank emasculates WW from the beginning, because he’s busy taking down head honchos. Walt can’t even handle a 40 cal. It’s Hanks ego that can’t relate to the ingenious criminals he’s trying to catch.

I believe that was part of the denial as well, I recently rewatched the entire series and it’s weird how often the clues point to Walt even early on in S1 and Hank just outright dismisses it. Part of it was the cancer diagnosis so there is an air of incredulity regarding that but, man, when everything is pointing right at Walt and Hank just keeps dismissing it, it becomes hard not to believe there had to be something else beyond just his ego.

Yeah we tend to deny ourselves of acknowledging the bad deeds our family does. Hank may recognize right away Walt was Heisenberg if they were stranger, but they had known each others for years

Gomez is just there to make sure Hank doesn’t try to arrest a rock for being ‘suspiciously shiny’.
