I’d guess that they wanted to show the slowed down version but didn’t know how to do it, so had to find a version of it that was already slowed down, but it was of lower quality.

As a proof that it was recorded in video.

because when it starts replaying the video you realize you get a better shot of it so you watch the first part a second time. tiktok/shorts/erc falsely think that means this is a good clip since users are watching it more than once and so it recommends it to more people. because replaying a video is seen as a good video, it means every popular video tends to do things that make you want to watch it again. ending with a crappy version of the very start of the video does that.

Why didn’t they just download it off the fucking dashcam??

That’s the first thing I thought, I was hoping the dash cam would run long enough for us to see the “take off” point because I can only guess that there’s no ramp. Even if there was a ramp though, to get that kind of distance airborne is WILD.
