**How Was the Slumber Party?**
Last weekend, I hosted a slumber party for my friend group, and it started off with the usual excitement—loads of popcorn, cheesy movies, and the promise of ghost stories that would definitely make us giggle instead of scream. Everything was going smoothly until someone decided to experiment with a “fun” mix of sugary energy drinks and leftover pizza. Let’s just say, they did NOT mix well. A few hours later, we found ourselves engaged in an intense debate about whether penguins would survive in a lava flow, which quickly escalated into a full-on reenactment.
Picture this: five grown adults sprawled across the floor, doing ridiculous impressions of penguins waddling away from imaginary lava, while simultaneously critiquing each other’s moves. Amidst the chaos, we totally forgot about the cheesy horror film playing in the background, and instead, our biggest fear became who would tackle the enormous pile of pizza boxes in the morning. We may not have solved the great penguin mystery, but we definitely solved the mystery of how to have a good time while looking absolutely ridiculous.

What was the slumber party like?

S
John Locke?!
C
DON’T TELL ME WHAT I CAN’T DO
U
You can do anything except your hot daughter, John.
F
Thats his brother, Flexo.
D
r/unexpectedfuturama
S
First Bender, then Flexo, then Fry
B
Bro using those legs like hes back on the island
P
Whenever I see Terry O’Quinn, I think about those Lost comics that someone used to make when the show was still on the air. I cannot find them anywhere. But there was one where Locke was in an office and he is asked, “If you could be any animal, what would you be?” And he replies, “Animals don’t have wheels.”
D
Lost Verticals! A lot of those are hilarious. I think I found [the one you were thinking of](https://i.imgur.com/SZ4kMov.jpeg)
F
No, that’s Admiral Erik Pressman, and he’s supposed to be in jail for violating the Treaty of Algeron
G
No, Jean-Luc was the other guy; that’s Admiral Erik Pressman.
N
Also Howard Hughes in The rocketeer.
J
Hello Jack!
G
Perhaps, or Frank Deveraux? I’m rewatching Lost but also happened to watch Blind Fury (1989) yesterday, and went “wait a minute, that’s John Locke”. Funny thing is that John Locke popping up in different time periods in different locations at different ages would not be odd at all in the context of Lost.
M
Must be Lost
K
My main problem with Old School is that it had this 90’s hip hop piano riff playing over the entire movie.
I
I think it needed at least 3 more songs layered over it simultaneously
P
Also needs those goofy ticktock sound effects
F
It kind of fits though as that would have been a core track while those guys were actually in college (the first time) in the 90s AND it’s sampled in a Snoop Dog song… who is in the movie.
S
This album came out in November 2000. They might have listened to The Cronic in the 90s, but their friend’s little brother was the Dean of that college. Their characters were in their mid-30’s in the movie.
O
oh yeah, Cheeeeeeeeeeeese
B
Didn’t we lock you in a dumpster?
Z
Yeah, *I got out.* Oh, cool man, cool.
K
“Remembering” listening to a song in the 90s only to find out it actually came out in the 2000s sounds exactly like something from my life.
L
My friends and I are the same age and a ton of them still keep up with current music. It’s not really difficult, especially if you don’t have kids.
L
Genuinely lolled at that
S
is that the same actress as the one in The Girl Next Door? just checked, yep. Elisha Cuthbert. aw man, so many ~~fantasies~~ memories.
J
Girl next door, that was my desktop background in college for several years…
C
that flick had no right to be as goodbad as it was.
I
Timothy Olyphant elevated it.
M
Timothy Olyphant elevates everything
V
“IF YOU DONT FUCK HER I’LL KILL MYSELF” still makes me laugh every time.
V
FUCK HER FOR ME, MATT! FOR ME!!!
V
Damn that scene is gold. 🤣
4
Only just discovered her. I’ve got work to do
C
“Work”
T
If you like comedy, check out Happy Endings. It also stars Damon Wayan’s son (hilarious) and Eliza Coupe \*drools\*
A
We were on the same team bud. My very first girl background was that same photo I bet haha where she’s looking backwards etc
S
She owned every scene in 24, well for me tho.
G
Remember watching her and Jay Baruchel on Popular Mechanics for Kids, back in the day
C
Classic Canadian show
L
I’m Elisha, okay I co-host PMK Used to watch it every morning before school.
F
I VERY MUCH remember her on PMK. First crush.
I
100%. Cute and talks about nerdy stuff? Preteen me was in love.
S
~2003 I was in Toronto for a wedding, crashing on the living room hotel couch, had a wild adult fantasy dream thing about her, woke up to her voice in my hotel room (I was deep into 24 then), rolled over half asleep and it was PMK on the TV. I’m still traumatized.
P
She annoyed me in every scene of 24 she was in 🙈
S
Well mister Sutherland is also very hot, I can imagine.
B
Also both Canadian
M
You wanna know if the terrorists are gonna detonate a nuke above LA? No time for that, here’s Elisha running away from a tiger
D
I found the most impressive part for me was in seven 24 hour sessions (or however many seasons they had), not once did Jack Bauer have to stop to take a shit.
