What was the slumber party like?

**How Was the Slumber Party?**
Last weekend, I hosted a slumber party for my friend group, and it started off with the usual excitement—loads of popcorn, cheesy movies, and the promise of ghost stories that would definitely make us giggle instead of scream. Everything was going smoothly until someone decided to experiment with a “fun” mix of sugary energy drinks and leftover pizza. Let’s just say, they did NOT mix well. A few hours later, we found ourselves engaged in an intense debate about whether penguins would survive in a lava flow, which quickly escalated into a full-on reenactment.
Picture this: five grown adults sprawled across the floor, doing ridiculous impressions of penguins waddling away from imaginary lava, while simultaneously critiquing each other’s moves. Amidst the chaos, we totally forgot about the cheesy horror film playing in the background, and instead, our biggest fear became who would tackle the enormous pile of pizza boxes in the morning. We may not have solved the great penguin mystery, but we definitely solved the mystery of how to have a good time while looking absolutely ridiculous.

Whenever I see Terry O’Quinn, I think about those Lost comics that someone used to make when the show was still on the air. I cannot find them anywhere. But there was one where Locke was in an office and he is asked, “If you could be any animal, what would you be?” And he replies, “Animals don’t have wheels.”

No, that’s Admiral Erik Pressman, and he’s supposed to be in jail for violating the Treaty of Algeron

Perhaps, or Frank Deveraux? I’m rewatching Lost but also happened to watch Blind Fury (1989) yesterday, and went “wait a minute, that’s John Locke”. Funny thing is that John Locke popping up in different time periods in different locations at different ages would not be odd at all in the context of Lost.

Must be Lost

My main problem with Old School is that it had this 90’s hip hop piano riff playing over the entire movie.

I think it needed at least 3 more songs layered over it simultaneously

Also needs those goofy ticktock sound effects

It kind of fits though as that would have been a core track while those guys were actually in college (the first time) in the 90s AND it’s sampled in a Snoop Dog song… who is in the movie.

This album came out in November 2000. They might have listened to The Cronic in the 90s, but their friend’s little brother was the Dean of that college. Their characters were in their mid-30’s in the movie.

“Remembering” listening to a song in the 90s only to find out it actually came out in the 2000s sounds exactly like something from my life.

My friends and I are the same age and a ton of them still keep up with current music. It’s not really difficult, especially if you don’t have kids.
