Who is instructing these abilities?

Who is responsible for teaching these skills?

M
You only see the ones that survive. So, I guess my answer is natural selection.
S
But there will be flowers and a cross where he crashed and no mention of the danger he created for others.
B
A guy I went to HS with blew a red light at 80 and got hit. Immediate death. His body flew so high it collided with the stoplight itself and stuck there until the fire department had to get him down. You wanna know what his stupid ass friends did? Had a “celebratory ride” doing all the same exact stupid shit that got their friend killed. It’s like a sickness.
S
A guy a year below me in school killed himself and practically half of a random family speeding, head-on collision at double the limit. I didn’t really know him, but my friends did. They were all broken up about it, talking about how he’d had such a troubled life and he was depressed. Couldn’t fucking stand it. Said that in spite of all that he was a murderer and his death wasn’t something I’d feel sad about. They didn’t like that. The kid killed three people – a man, his wife, and a grandfather. Left a young child an orphan. Fuck him.
B
It’s unbelievable. It’s a plague in my town. There was another kid when we were actually in school who ran from the cops doing about 100, he ended up striking a cop car and died on impact. The sheriff’s deputy he hit was the husband of our principal, and she had to take time off from work because his friends were sending her and her husband death threats. Idk if you have to be a special kind of stupid to ride like this but it genuinely seems like they all lack critical thinking skills.

Something about small towns man. Every one of them I’ve lived in defended horrible fucking people. I don’t get it. Is it like tribalism or something else? There was a woman here who went around town on her atv trying to shoot random people last month. One of the women posted about having a gun aimed at her by this person and saying her guns should be taken away and everyone dogpiled on her until she deleted her post. Another town I lived in defended a fucking pedo the same way. And every town has horrible and neglectful pet owners everyone defends as well
M
Small towns can be absolutely great and / or terrible for the same reason. Exactly as you said, the tribalism. Theres a community aspect that you dont see in bigger cities. Those people usually rely on eachother. Power goes out during a winter storm? Go over a neighbor’s house. Need some wood to stay warm? Go to a neighbors house and get it. Car breaks down? Get a ride or borrow the neighbors. Another reason is a lot of the people in the community can be family in one way or another. If not direct family, theyre friends that go back decades. Everyone knows eachother. When a small town is made up of good people it can be really beautiful actually. Likewise, if theyre shit, theyre probly the worst people youll ever meet. Everything is reinforced tenfold, whether its the good or the bad.
P
Small town have this clique that if they know someone, it’s ‘oh he’s a good guy, I know him’. They disregard what they dont like or agree with and just defend the person. Ignoring facts is the standard. As long as they are white, that is.
J
A guy at my high school was recognized as “brave” or whatever because he was disabled in a wreck… a wreck HE CAUSED. They didn’t mention that in the speech. One of his passengers was critically injured and I think later died and the kid in the back seat died at the scene. The other driver was ok but felt horrible even though it wasn’t his fault at all
I
This reminds me of *The Bean Trees* opening, but backwards. >I have been afraid of putting air in a tire ever since I saw a tractor tire blow up and throw Newt Hardbine’s father over the top of the Standard Oil sign. I’m not lying. He got stuck up there. He wasn’t killed, but lost his hearing and in many other ways was not the same afterwards.
A
So much for die young, leave a good looking corpse.
L
When I was a kid I thought Catholics were just terrible drivers because of all the crosses out there
G
The lack of any protection and flip flops adds that special “I won’t suffer any of the chronic diseases of old age” flavor.
S
And people will post R.I.P. #looktwiceforbikes When they know damn well he was doing crap like this
D
You also see the videos of those who don’t… on other subreddits.
M
This is r/wtf, when I joined reddit this was the gore epicenter.
A
Ahhh, the good ole days.
A
There was a lot of bad too. Let’s not forget the subreddits where people were jerking off to underage girls.
L
I mean there are still horrible subreddits about women that reddit won’t do anything to remove.
K
The one I always remember is cutedeadgirls… so fucked! Don’t love what reddit has become but cant say I miss all that shit
O
The worst part about some of these subs is that it makes look at the dark side of humanity. These people are humans just like us and even though we think it’s just 1 or 2 cases, there are actually hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions of humans with this dark side. We are capable of amazing beauty, but it also goes all the way to the opposite direction. Perfectly normal individuals have committed atrocities in the name of their countries/religions.
P
I was also wondering why OP poster this go r/wtf
S
I know there’s such a thing as too much money, but is this “too much life”?
M
Not for long it ain’t.

R
He’s fine. He’s wearing his protective skin.
B
You forgot his safety flip flops.
A
When I did a motorcycle safety course they warned us to always wear covered shoes, with the example of someone wearing jandals/flip flops who had the centre part that goes between the toes go all the way up to their ankle, through the flesh, in a crash.
E
As someone who lives in Florida, this happens way more than one would think.
H
…until they die
R
Yes, that’s the point.
M
If you tie your shoes really tight, it’s literally impossible to die. Reddit fact!
M
Hey I got that one
H
What about flip flops?
C
Impressive. He’s still a dumbass but impressive
G
I wonder when the exact day was when I changed from probably thinking this was cool, to detesting the danger he’s putting others in.
M
He might be a stuntman supreme, but what is going to stop someone from seeing him nearly collide with thrm and overcorrect and slam into oncoming traffic? Stuntmen work on closed sets for a reason.
G
There a moment where he swerves toward a woman and child walking on the pavement and facing away from him. They wouldnt have stood a chance.
K
Yup that’s the exact moment I decided he was being a massive asshole. After that moment I noticed he swerved towards nearly every pedestrian he passed. Dumb assholes like this don’t realize it’s not about how skilled you are, it’s about what happens when something goes wrong. Tires can blow, oil or water on the road, debris that you didn’t notice, another shitty driver swerving into you. No one is “skilled” enough to guarantee these things won’t happen. If he did this on a race track or an empty country road I’d be singing his praises. He’s going to kill someone eventually if he keeps this shit up, I just hope it’s himself and not an innocent kid walking down the road
M
Stuntman? My dude, that guy’s a Brazilian guy wearing flip-flops. This “skill” is a consequence of using “probably not his” motorcycle from an early age and practice from “running away fast.”
J
The fact he dumps it at the end and starts kicking it makes me think it’s still “probably not his” motorcycle these days too.
D
That’s why all the car drivers are so careful not to hit them. None of them want to take the chance of damaging what might be their own motorcycle.
B
If he can do that on an unfamiliar bike…. Jeez. That dude has better control of that bike than I have of my legs.
A
Probably because you’ve felt the fear of a vehicle suddenly/randomly moving directly at you at high speed.
P
Yeah I feel this, I remember when I use to think this was badass. Now I just think of what Mike Tyson said, “everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the face”. His punch in the face will likely be a vehicle, but you get what I mean.
D
Like the tricks he is doing is very cool, but his dumbass should not be doing it on the fucking street. Which is very not cool.
S
Yeah, give him a better bike, safety equipments, and a good job as a stuntman. That will stop this moron
G
Never ever found this kind of shit cool. That was the shit my bullies were already doing in middle school. It’s all about showing off.
T
Various turning points usually: 1. You stopped bothering with impressing other dudes. 2. You left puberty/adolescence in a healthy way. Risky behaviour in younger men is a fairly regular occurence from IIRC even a genetics perspective. 3. You had something traumatic happen that made you realize your risk assessment is screwed. (i.e. you went from “that could never happen to me” to “well, all it takes is one idiot even if I don’t make any mistakes”) 4. Responsibilities. It’s more or less the previous points, but with a different motivator.
T
Oh, it’s very cool. It’s also a very shitty, selfish thing to go careening down a public street in a motor vehicle like that, probably making a lot of people feel unsafe. Two things can be true at the same time. I wonder why he’s not getting loads of people screaming and honking at him. Is this common practice in the area?
